As part of the celebration of World Teachers' Day, the Students Coordinating Board (SCB) recognized the five outstanding faculty members of Good Shepherd Cathedral School by launching this year the Msgr. Fidelis Ruben F. Limcaco Teacher Excellence Award. The award, named after the late founder of our school, aims to recognize teachers of GSCS who have shown exemplary teaching performance and character worthy of emulation by their colleagues and worth the admiration of learners. The recognition was made special because the 10 official finalists for the award were determined by both teachers and learners through voting. There were 5 official winners - the 3 teachers who got the highest number of votes from their colleagues and the top 2 from learners. Based on the campus-wide voting that was conducted, the following teachers were declared as recipients of the prestigious award:

• Ms. Aubrey L. Briton (High School Science Teacher)
• Ms. Jenina S. Pacleb (High School Filipino Teacher)
• Ms. Desiree J. Accad (Middle School Filipino Teacher)
• Ms. Angela Nicole C. Pineda (Middle School Science Teacher)
• Mrs. Mary Lane D.R. Liporada (Middle School English Teacher)

The awardees were formally recognized in a tribute program conducted in the afternoon of October 9, 2023. The awardees received their plaques and cash incentives from our Superintendent-Director, Rev. Fr. Albert N. Delvo.

Earlier that day, selected Grades 10 to 12 learners also took over the classes as they served as student-counterparts of our faculty members as part of the Teachers’ Day celebration. A “Wall of Appreciation” was also placed at the school lobby where learners were given the opportunity to write down their greetings and messages to their teachers.
